WINTERCAMP FOR ROTARY EXCHANGE STUDENTS 2017

WHEN:                          From Saturday February 4th to Saturday February 11th, 2017

WHERE:                        Nystølen Hyttegrend, 3540 Nesbyen 

COST:                              NOK 4 500,- including travelling costs to and from Nesbyen railway station

ACCOMODATION:    In comfortable cabins with 6-10 persons in each cabin

FOOD:                             Breakfast, lunchpacket and dinner are included

OTHER:                          Skis, boots, lift and local transportation during the week are all included.
                                            Students can change between cross-country, downhill and snowboard.

PROGRAM

Saturday:       Arrival, information, fitting and testing boots, skis etc.

Sunday:          Waxing skis, cross-country training. Afternoon practicing in the small lift.

Monday:        Cross-country training, playing in the snow. After lunch - visit to Langedrag mountain park. Evening - Rotarymeeting.

Tuesday:        Half group: supervised practicing downhill and lift. Other half: cross-country. Afternoon at free disposal/relaxing.

Wednesday:  Opposite of Tuesday. Afternoon BBQ in the snow/lavvu.

Thursday:      All students downhill skiing. Afternoon at free disposal/relaxing.

Friday:            Cross-country tour (12 km). Afternoon goodbye-party.

Saturday:       Departure

BRING WITH YOU
It can be cold and windy in the mountains, so you have to bring proper clothing and sunglasses. Your family will advice you.
You do not need to bring skis and ski boots, as they are provided and included in the fee.

TRAVELLING
Train from Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim, Hamar and Stavanger.
Bus from Gjøvik and Sogn.
Airplane/train from Tromsø and Bodø.
